Out of Office Poetry NL

Ik tel de stralen in de zon,
speel met de kinderen in het zand,
laat vliegers vliegen in de duinen,
heb een barbecue gepland.

Ik zoek geen tijd tussen de uren,
heb geen haast om er te raken,
ik blijf wat langer om te rusten,
hoef me nergens druk om te maken.

Onderhand begrijpt u wel,
uw e-mail heeft geen zin,
maar heb nog wat geduld,
binnenkort vlieg ik er terug in.

Out of Office Poetry Part 4

An out of office,
was not what you expected,
and unfortunately,
the e-mail has not been redirected.

The reply, however,
has a ray of sunshine,
a little bit of beach,
a glass of red wine.

Or perhaps as you desire,
a beautiful walking tour,
climbing the highest mountain,
or a dinner with glamour.

And so brings my absence,
the summer to you,
enjoy the thoughts,
enjoy your summer view.

I see you shouting,
I can hear your curse,
but don’t you worry,
It could have been worse.

It's just me on holiday,
my colleagues are present,
so for your urgent matters,
ask their judgement.

And I hope you will have,
or you already had,
a holiday as mine,
that would make me glad.

Out of Office Poetry – Season’s Greetings

Thank you for your message,

but all you receive is me,

a poetry notification,

as my master is not here, you see.

They have end of year holidays,

all are gone to family,

enjoying peace, drinks and dinners,

now the office remains empty.

On January 2nd they are back

for work, phone calls and meetings,

until then, I can only give you

best wishes as season's greetings.

Out of Office Poetry

I'm not in the office today
for a while, a week or two
I'm not in, I'm away

for urgent matters by the way
the office is not closed
it's just me, me on holiday

so on a working day
call reception, mail a colleague
but not me, I'm far away
